TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS :

Construction :

• Sandvik modified 12C27 stainless steel : this steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which gives it a very satisfactory cutting edge without being susceptible to corrosion.
• Traditional Yatagan blade: its shape is inspired by a Turkish sword, the point is raised. The blade is ground according to an exclusive bomb profile which guarantees the robustness of the blade and allows for efficient sharpening
• Handle made of oak wood: from French farms, it is hard, very resistant to insects and fungi thanks to its high tannin content. The handle is varnished to be better protected against humidity and dirt.
• Safety ring : Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is used on all closing knives from N06 on. Cut in stainless steel, the Virobloc is made of two parts : a fixed part and a sliding part. This process allows the blade to be locked in the open position (safe to use), as well as in the closed position (safe to carry).
