Garmont’ s NEW DRAGONTAIL TECH GORE-TEX is a high-performance technical approach shoe for men that meets the needs of experienced athletes seeking the ultimate in mountain performance.
Precise and lightweight, this shoe is made of durable southern leather, which combines with a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane to ensure that nothing gets through. This new version offers a more wraparound fit but with generous forefoot volume to maintain comfort without lacking precision. It also combines an organic Ortholite UltraLite footbed for midfoot and forefoot cushioning and a FrameFlex Mid insole for stability and rigidity.
Michelin’s outsole uses a highly adherent compound for walking on exposed bolts and rocks.

- New volume compared to the previous Dragontail model: wrap-around fit but with forefoot volume that ensures maximum comfort without sacrificing precision in use
- 1.6mm Southern leather upper with ultra-lightweight Efoam inserts in the toe and heel area for added protection
- Heel Lock: secures the heel in the heel pocket and prevents the heel from sliding
- Lace-up toe closure: better climbing performance and custom fit
- Ortholite UltraLite footbed: a rigid and stable compound in the heel area and an ultra soft cushioning compound in the midfoot and forefoot
- FrameFlex Mid insole: appropriate blend of stability and rigidity
- KA486 Dual Compound Michelin Outsole: Enhanced toe grip and underfoot traction
- Fiber Lite inserts: lightness, flexibility and traction for excellent performance in all situations
